Two things. Whole sea buckthorn fruit pulp at 99.99%, and potassium sorbate at 0.01% — a permitted preservative. That is the entire ingredient list, and it is printed on every bottle. No water, no sugar, no sweetener, no colour, no flavour and no thickener.

10 ml, twice a day, stirred into 100 to 150 ml of water — morning and evening, with or after food. A 500 ml bottle holds fifty 10 ml servings, so one bottle runs about 25 days.

Sharp, sour and a little astringent — closer to unripe citrus than to a sweet juice, because there is no sugar in it to round that off. Diluting it in water softens it considerably without changing what is in the bottle. If a sea buckthorn drink tastes mild and sweet, something has been added to it.

Because nothing is filtered out. What settles at the bottom is fine fruit pulp and small pieces of seed — the solids a clear juice would strain away. Sea buckthorn seed is edible, and it is where the berry's Omega-3 sits, so we would rather leave it in the bottle than take it out. It is not a fault and it is not spoilage. Stand the bottle upright and shake it well before every use.

Juice is usually filtered and diluted with water, often with sugar added, and frequently thickened with stabilisers or gums so it pours richer than it really is. This is whole fruit pulp — skin and pulp pressed together, unfiltered, undiluted, at 99.99% fruit, with no thickener of any kind. That is also why a serving is 10 ml rather than a glass.

We will not put a number on that, because it would not be honest — and any brand that gives you one is guessing. What we can tell you is exactly what is in the bottle and what those nutrients are recognised to do. This is a daily food, not a treatment. Give it a month of daily use before you judge it.

Store the sealed bottle in a cool, dry, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep it refrigerated and finish it within 30 days — at two servings a day, that is the whole bottle.

Because this is one fruit, not a formulation. Colour, texture and tartness shift a little from batch to batch depending on the harvest, and nothing is added to standardise them. A juice that tastes identical every time usually has something in it making sure of that. Ours does not.
