At MÉLION we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit melion.in, place an order or contact us, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices) Rules, 2011.

• Order and payment history (card and bank details are handled by our payment provider, not by us)

• To process, pack, ship and track your order
• To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and delivery updates
• To answer your questions and handle returns and complaints
• To detect and prevent fraud and abuse

• To send marketing emails, only if you have asked to receive them
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We process your information because it is necessary to fulfil the order you placed, because you have consented (marketing), or because the law requires it.

Payment security

Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers. MÉLION does not store your complete card or bank account details on its systems.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep your cart, measure website performance, understand how visitors use the site, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work properly.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information.

We share only what is necessary with the partners who help us run the business: our e-commerce platform (Shopify), our payment gateway, our courier partners, our email and messaging providers, and our analytics and advertising tools. They are permitted to use your information only for the service they provide to us.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Where your information is stored

Our store runs on Shopify, and some of our service providers process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the contractual protections those providers offer.

Marketing emails

If you join our list we may write to you about new batches, products and offers. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time. Leaving the marketing list does not stop order and delivery emails, which we have to send.

How long we keep it

We keep order and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. We keep marketing contact details until you unsubscribe. Everything else we keep only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for.

Your rights

You may ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete information we no longer need to keep, or withdraw your consent to marketing. Write to support@melion.in from the email address on your order and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.

Children

Our products and this website are not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when it is posted here with a new "Last updated" date.

Grievance Officer and contact

For any question about this policy, to exercise your rights, or to complain about how your information has been handled, contact our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge complaints within 48 working hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days.
